Meet Your Doula

Warm Blonde-Highlighted Portrait.png

Hi, I’m Riah, the heart behind Soulful Harmony Birth. I’m a mother, mentor, healthcare professional, and doula who believes deeply in the power of compassionate support, education, and human connection.

My professional background has taught me the importance of communication, preparation, advocacy, and meeting people where they are. Motherhood has taught me something equally important: sometimes what we need most is someone beside us who listens, reassures us, respects our choices, and helps us feel a little less alone.
Those experiences are part of what led me to doula work and ultimately to creating Soulful Harmony Birth.

Why I Chose This Work

Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum can bring excitement, uncertainty, questions, vulnerability, and so many emotions all at once. I wanted to create a space where families could move through these seasons with knowledgeable support while still feeling completely free to make the choices that are right for them.

I don’t believe there is one perfect birth, one perfect parenting style, or one path every family should follow. I believe in listening first, offering evidence-informed education, helping you explore your options, and supporting your decisions without judgment.
Soulful Harmony Birth is about helping you feel more prepared, more confident, and more supported, not taking over your experience.

Prepared to Support You

The care I provide is shaped by both professional experience and continued education. My background in healthcare, leadership, mentoring, and family support allows me to bring organization, calm communication, and compassion into the doula space.

Doula Education & Training

Ongoing preparation focused on compassionate, nonmedical birth and postpartum support.

Healthcare Background

Professional experience that strengthens my communication, organization, and ability to work respectfully alongside healthcare teams.

Leadership & Mentoring Experience

Experience supporting, guiding, and encouraging others through learning, growth, and meaningful transitions.

CPR/BLS & Safety Preparedness

Current safety-focused training that supports professionalism and preparedness.

Continuing Education

A commitment to continued learning in birth, postpartum support, family education, and evidence-informed care.

When I am serving you as your doula, my role remains nonmedical. My healthcare background informs the professionalism, preparation, and communication I bring to my work, but I do not diagnose, treat, perform clinical procedures, or replace your licensed healthcare providers.

When We Work Together

You can expect me to show up with warmth, preparation, honesty, and respect. I’ll listen to what matters to you, help you prepare for the experience ahead, offer steady encouragement when things feel uncertain, and support you in communicating your preferences and questions with your care team.

My role is not to take over your experience, but to help you feel more grounded and supported within it. Whether we are preparing for birth, moving through labor, or navigating the postpartum season, the support we create together will be centered on your family’s needs, values, and choices.

Most importantly, you don’t have to perform or have everything figured out with me. You can ask questions, change your mind, laugh, cry, vent, rest, and simply be human.

From My Heart to Your Family

It is an incredible privilege to be invited into someone’s pregnancy, birth, or postpartum experience. These are deeply personal chapters in a family’s story, and I never take that trust lightly.

My hope is that when you look back on our time together, you remember feeling respected, cared for, more confident in yourself, and supported in creating an experience that felt true to you and your family.

Whether I am supporting you as you prepare for birth, standing beside you during labor, or helping you find your footing in the postpartum season, I want you to feel that you were never just another client, you were a family I was honored to support.

Let’s See If We’re the Right Fit

Choosing a doula is personal, and the connection between us matters. Let’s have a relaxed, complimentary conversation about your family, where you are in your journey, and the kind of support you’re looking for. There’s no pressure to decide anything during our conversation—just space to connect, ask questions, and see whether Soulful Harmony Birth feels like the right fit for you.
